So I've been catching up with the Harry Potter books since I didn't catch them back when they came out. That was a mistake. It is gooood stuff. To make up for my lapse in judgement, I submit a fan tribute. If Harry, Hermione, and Ron encountered a Balrog, I figure this is what would happen. I'm only on the 4th book so maybe they do encounter something as scary as a Balrog... I can't wait to find out!

Hi, Miguel, I met you back in October at the Dr. Reynolds lecture, and just found your link in my sketchbook. Just wanted to say hey and I love this picture, by the way. You're a talented dude.

Now that you finished the series, do you akin any of the creatures to a balrog?

Btw, i linked you on my blog.

Yeah now that I finished, I don't think these three ran into anything as scary as evil, power, malice, flame, smoke, and ash incarnate. But they came pretty frikkin' close. The Gringotts break in is probably my favoritest action sequence in my recent reading memory.

And it's funny because your pic reminds me of that.

And did it not just blow you away when you realized what was going on in the (US) book cover. It's like...wait...they can't put that on the cover, esp not for the final book!

SERIOUSLY! I knew the cover had to do with a big part of the book, just didn't know how big. Oh and thanks for the link. Maybe I should update this thing a bit more often.

The British covers are really goofy looking. They remind me of 80's arcade cabinet artwork. Still, I love the moment they chose to illustrate for Deathly Hallows. My favorite cover (American) is also my favorite of the books, Goblet Of Fire.

I like their adult covers though. As with the american adult versions. Not sure if they did a separate version beyond that. I had no reason to check cuz for some reason my brother had two copies of the 3rd and 4th book and gave them to me. Think actually had three copies of the 3rd. I think he has currently has two copies of all but the 4th and 7th...anyway...
